A good turn out for the quiz with 28 taking part and Bob and Norma acting as quiz masters. Although busy on the mooring we got all 9 attending boats moored up OK. 11 members came by car for the evening.

The weather was kind on Saturday, after the non stop rain on Friday, and the Reedham Crowd set up camp on the grass in the afternoon to do what they do best - partaking of the amber nector and having a laugh!!! The Reedham Crowd were joined by friends from their marina, Len, Julia and Michael on their Seamaster who made the numbers up nicely.

Us boaters made our way up to The Dukes Head about 6.30pm and were soon joined by those who came by car. Teams were sorted and we sat down to a nice fish and chip supper which was promptly served by the attentive staff. We even had waitress service for the drinks!

After the meal, Bob welcomed everyone and provided an excellent quiz, including a round of questions about the Broads.

There were five teams as follows:

'Hoof Harted' - Terry and Marie, John and Rita, Sandra and I.

'The Wombats' - Ray and Margaret, Simon and Sue.

'The Weedham Webels' - Andy, Ray and Jo, Kieth, Colin and Chris, Len Julia and Michael.

'The Chatham Crew' - John and Fay, Geoff and Anna.

'Meandering Emma' - Graham and Margaret, Steve and Angela, Dave L.

After the four rounds, answers were checked and the result was:

A tie between 'Hoof Harted' and 'Meandering Emma' with 37 points.

'The Weedham Webels' 27 points

'The Wombats' 24 points

'The Chatham Crew' 13 points.

A tie break was held and won by 'Meandering Emma' (boo hiss!)

Thanks to all for making it another enjoyable club get together and special thanks to Bob and Norma for setting the quiz.

Not forgetting the excellent staff at the pub, a big thanks to them.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the End of Season Dinner on 15th October,

Cheers,

John
